city mini® air lightweight stroller

Category: city mini air
After using the same single stroller for 3 kids, I treated myself to this for my 4th. We own different full size single stroller (much much better than this Air), Baby Jogger city mini gt double, and a 4 seater wagon. We are not new to strollers. This Air has given us buyers remorse. It’s so mediocre and overpriced. The frame feels crooked, but the retailer I bought it from disagreed and wouldn’t exchange it since it was opened/used once. The handle absolutely is not straight. It bends anytime one of my other kids tries to hold it to walk with me (keep in mind they’re all 8 and under) The wheels get caught when trying to close it, making it a frustrating close. The canopy won’t stay well and is floppy. The seat is very cheap and hard. The cup holder can’t even hold a standard plastic water bottle because as soon as you hit a bump, the drink falls out. There are no options for a child tray (which we knew and I have not factored into my rating). And now, only 9 months into light use, the recline on the seat is getting caught and struggling to be moved. It doesn’t steer as well as my Baby Jogger City Mini double GT, it gets stuck on 1” uneven sidewalk slabs, and it has been a very disappointing experience. This stroller is equal to an umbrella stroller in quality, but much heavier/bulkier and pricier. I had to pick up the stroller with my infant in it and carry it while walking with a toddler (unable to hold his hand) beside a main road because it couldn’t go through a section of slush on a sidewalk trying to get my kids from school, but I was watching many other strollers go through without issue. This stroller would be fine for malls or indoor ground if it were at a much lower price point. It does not meet expectations as advertised and we are looking to upgrade to a less frustrating one now.
